Tinto Do Demo 2019 is a highly esteemed unfiltered red wine that has been aged for 10 months in French oak barrels.

The distinctive grape blend of Caiño Longo (70%), Sousón (20%), and Brancellao (10%) are sourced from the "Eigón" estate in the Beade parish, Avia valley. This estate spans just 1 hectare with predominantly granite sand and silt soil.

The vineyard practices exclude organic herbicides or insecticides, instead favouring phytosanitary products certified for organic agriculture.

The 2019 vintage experienced low rainfall and warm temperatures, with some fungal challenges in spring and early summer but excellent ripening conditions, resulting in a high-quality grape harvest.

The grapes were destemmed, and fermented at 19ºC in stainless steel tanks for 18 days with light daily punch-downs. After separating the gross lees and pressing, the wine was aged in three French oak barrels for a minimum of 10 months, undergoing malolactic fermentation. Tinto Do Demo was then bottled in November 2020 without filtering, clarifying, or correcting.

Here's a taste of what you can expect from this wine:

  • Colour: An intense cherry red colour.
  • Aroma: Intensely ripe red fruit aromas with some herbal and subtle mineral notes.
  • Palate: An earthy, fruity, rustic wine with delicate tannins, lively acidity, and a long, lingering finish.
