Distribution & Experiences
Son Puig is a family run Bodega producing some top quality wines in Puigpunyent.
Puigpunyent itself is a village located in the western region of Mallorca, surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains and covered in pine, oak, almond and carob trees.
The wine production from this bodega is small because the wine is made from grapes that are grown exclusively on their own vineyard. Every season the grapes are hand picked by the same people.
The winery and Son Puig's different wines are the result of the effort and dedication of a family who are convinced that sustainable ways of working the land and maintaining large rural estates, based on agricultural production and processing systems, are the pathway to the future for their historical heritage.
The following grape varieties are used to produce the wines from Son Puig: Prensal (indigenous to the island), Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc for the whites and Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Callet (also indigenous to the island) for the reds.
Visits to Bodega Son Puig are carried out by appointment. Whilst visiting the bodega you will also be given the opportunity to buy wine directly from their cellar.
The visits are carried out from Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm and on Saturday from 10am to 12pm. It is also possible to book a visit for a Sunday or a Bank Holiday but there will be an extra surcharge of 15€ per person.
