7103 Petit Celler Negre Bota is mainly made with grapes from the oldest Mantonegro vineyards, which were planted 50 years ago by Sebastià's grandfather.

It is an elegant, fruity and deep red wine, with rich minerality provided by the vineyard, where limestone is prominent. This red wine has been aged for 12 months in new 500L French oak barrels.

The grapes were carefully selected (cluster by cluster) in 15 kg boxes from the oldest vines of the native Mantonegro variety.  The wine is blended with a portion of Merlot from younger vines, which gives it more structure.

Here's a taste of what you can expect from this wine:

  • Colour: Bright cherry red with an intense garnet rim.
  • Aroma: A powerful and complex nose. Aromas of ripe black fruit (blackberries, plums), with hints of minerals, spices and lactic notes.
  • Palate: In the mouth, this wine is quite fresh and elegant.  It is balanced on the palate, with smooth and gentle tannins.  The wine is also long and pleasant in the mouth and is very representative of the Mantonegro variety.
  • Pairing: This is a great wine to enjoy with grilled meats, game, stews, cured cheeses and Iberian ham.
  • Shelf life in years: 6-8

  • Production: 4,000 0.75L bottles
