Gloc 2020 by Verónica Ortega is a vibrant Ancestral white wine made with the grape variety Palomino.
This wine is a collaboration between Verónica Ortega and the Gómez Lucas Brothers from the renowned Vinificante winery in Cádiz.
The Palomino grapes were harvested from a 95-year-old vineyard situated at an altitiude of 650m in Villabuena (Bierzo). The grapes were destemmed and directly pressed in a pneumatic press with a light pellicular maceration for 4 hours. This wine is aged for 3 years and 5 months with its fine lees. It was disgorged by hand in January 2023.
For organic wine enthusiasts searching for a distinct and exceptional flavour, this wine is the perfect choice. It has been crafted using traditional methods and with no intervention or treatments in the vineyard.
Here's a taste of what you can expect from this wine:
- Appearance: A captivating golden yellow colour.
- Aromas: A complex bouquet of bakery aromas, dried fruit and hazelnut shells with subtle hints of aniseed and fennel.
- Palate: The Palomino grapes create very fine and well integrated bubbles. This wine has a delicate finesse and an interesting saline finish.
- Serving Temperature: 10-12º
