Introducing the latest addition to the S Vins family, 'Remi Wildbunch', which marks the beginning of a new chapter. 'Maneras de Vivir' is the inaugural red wine in this series.
'Remi Wildbunch' pays homage to the era of the 80s and 90s, embodying rock, comics and the essence of freedom and rebellion.
Each wine in the collection undergoes a different process, carries a unique name and an individual label. Similar to the panels of a comic book, each Remi character on each label depicts a different action, ensuring that each wine is a limited edition.
Founded by Mallorcan winemaker Carlos Rodríguez Furthmann, S Vins is a boutique winery located in Mallorca's Sierra Norte, known for its traditional winemaking techniques that prioritise local grape varieties and minimal manipulation of the wine.
A pioneer in the natural and minimal intervention wine movement in the Balearic Islands, S Vins introduced innovative concepts such as the island's first ancestral (pet-nat), the first clarete and the use of chestnut barrels, along with spontaneously fermented monovarietals of indigenous grapes.
'Maneras de Vivir' is a blend of 7 indigenous red grape varieties from an officially certified organic vineyard. The grapes were harvested by hand in 15kg boxes. The first selection of grapes took place in the vineyard, and the second selection took place in the winery (bunch by bunch). The grapes were then destemmed and fermented together in stainless steel tanks.This wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation, contains no sulphites or added additives, is not fined or filtered, echoing the label's promise of pure grapes and nothing else.
TASTING NOTES
- Palate: This wine has notes of plum, blackberries, strawberries, red apple, graphite, smokiness, liquorice, and rosemary due to the blend of grapes used. It is also lactic, easy to drink, and long in the mouth.
- Pairing: Enjoy this wine with pork, lamb, game meat, tuna, salad (lettuce, arugula, endive), yogurt sauces, beetroot, spiced dishes, semi spicy dishes, cheesecake, and dried fruits.
