Verónica Ortega “Quite”
Quite is Verónica Ortega’s entry-level wine, though it carries all the precision and identity that define her work in Bierzo. The 2023 vintage marks the tenth release of this cuvée - a thoughtful blend that captures both the vibrancy of Mencía and the complexity of old-vine terroir.
- Aromas & Palate: Expect a seductive nose of red berries and blue flowers, underpinned by a subtle hint of liquorice. On the palate, it is light-footed yet structured, with a sleek, elegant texture and a fresh, agile finish.
Albamar “Fusco”
From the Chantada zone of Ribeira Sacra, Fusco reflects winemaker Xurxo Alba’s philosophy of transparency and simplicity. The grapes are de-stemmed and fermented in stainless steel, followed by a gentle 20–25 day maceration. The wine then rests in stainless steel through the winter, allowing its pure character to shine - no oak, no fuss.
This is a Mencía that speaks of its granite soils and Atlantic freshness rather than winemaking influence - lively, direct, and refreshingly honest.
