Verónica Ortega “Quite”
Made from 90–100-year-old Mencía vines growing in sandy-clay soils with quartzite and slate, Quite reflects Verónica Ortega’s thoughtful, minimalist approach to winemaking. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with light extraction and short maceration (5–7 days), followed by nine months of ageing - 80% in large French oak vats and 20% in amphorae and barrels.
The result is a fresh, informal, and joyful red wine that blends the minerality of the soils with the fruit-driven personality of Mencía.

Albamar “Fusco”
From the Chantada zone of Ribeira Sacra, Fusco reflects winemaker Xurxo Alba’s philosophy of transparency and simplicity. The grapes are de-stemmed and fermented in stainless steel, followed by a gentle 20–25 day maceration. The wine then rests in stainless steel through the winter, allowing its pure character to shine - no oak, no fuss.
This is a Mencía that speaks of its granite soils and Atlantic freshness rather than winemaking influence - lively, direct, and refreshingly honest.
