Operated by Laura Rodríguez and Carlos Lorenzo in the Ribeiro region, Adega do Demo has been tending to its vineyards since 2005. This artisanal winery produce wines from white Treixadura, Godello, and Loureira grapes, following traditional winemaking practices. The winery honours their grandfather, Moisés Lorenzo, with a name paying homage to him. Previously, they supplied grapes to other wineries until 2017 when they ventured into creating their own wines. Their initial offerings included 1300 bottles of the estate wine BITOKU Treixadura/Loureira, followed by a Godello variant in subsequent years, and 1500 bottles of PIOTR K. wines under a personalized brand. This brand is meant to be intimate and reflective of a history rooted in mutual support and collaboration. The winery concept is deeply rooted in the traditions of the area, encompassing the entire grape-to-wine production cycle, a hallmark of the Ribeiro region and its protective designation. Adega do Demo practices sustainable viticulture by avoiding herbicides and organic insecticides, using certified phytosanitary products. They prioritize soil care and microbiology to promote healthy plants, reducing the need for chemical treatments.
