Finca Aiguasals is from the farm located in the Paraje de l'Aiguasals.  The samsó grapes are from 70-year-old vines planted on north facing terraces.  The soil is very rich in various minerals and capture the deep roots of these plants. 


Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats and maceration occurs for a period of 25 days, with daily pigeage for 25 days.  The wine is then aged for a period of 16 months in 300-litre French oak barrels.  The main characteristic of this wine is its radical minerality, combined with the notes of black fruit.


Finca Aiguasals has an intense ruby colour.  The nose is defined by the aromas of black fruit, currants and blackberries, combined with spices and smoky hints.  There are also hints of Mediterranean undergrowth, as well as mineral touches.  In the mouth this wine starts with finesse and elegance.  It has polished tannins and notes of spice, cocoa and pepper.  The finish is voluminous and extraordinarily long.


This is a complex wine that will keep for 10 to 15 years.
